Brookhaven Retreat Hosts the Annual Alumnae Reunion

Tuesday, 01 August 2017 04:32

Brookhaven Retreat ® LLC, a unique residential treatment facility exclusively for women with mental health and/or substance abuse issues, will host the annual Alumnae Reunion Thursday, September 28 – Friday, September 29, 2017.

The event will welcome alumnae of The Lily Program ®, a 90-day program for women offered exclusively at Brookhaven Retreat, from all over the country to the event with the theme, “Self-Strength, Self-Sustaining and Self-Caring.”

A day of workshops, emphasizing the theme given by Brookhaven Retreat therapists, along with brunch and an awards dinner will be held at the RT Lodge in Maryville, TN. The following day alumnae will join together at Brookhaven Retreat for an elegant luncheon.

Each year Brookhaven Retreat welcomes alumnae from all over the country so they may reunite, renew and treasure the life changes they began in treatment, as part of an extensive aftercare program available to all alumnae---a vital component to life after residential treatment. “The quality of your life is determined by the quality of the people who are in it,” says Jacqueline Dawes. The reunion is a reminder of that and helps to give alumnae additional tools to help continue recovery.

Many alumnae consider Brookhaven Retreat a “home away from home.” One alumna last year in particular thanked Dawes for providing alumnae the opportunity to “come home every year.”

Although the treatment program lasts for 90 days, Brookhaven Retreat’s ongoing dedication to clients stems from the awareness that the recovery process is a “walk for life.” As part of the ongoing process of the extensive Aftercare program available to all alumnae, all who attend will have the opportunity to reunite, renew and treasure the life changes they began in treatment.
