Summertime is always a fun and exciting time for everyone. We all love to go to the swimming pool, to the beach or boating on the lake. For women, this can also be a very difficult time. We aren’t always bathing suit body ready, so when the time comes to put one on it can become very emotional and depressing.
For me, I have severe anxiety when I put on a bathing suit. I definitely don't have the perfect bathing suit body, the flat stomach and beautiful tan skin. It is very scary to put on a piece of clothing and walk to the mirror, so many things going through your head that you could have done differently, judging yourself and then wondering how others are going to think of you.
Through the years of fighting with myself over the could haves, the would haves and the should haves, I finally figured it out! I don't need to think about what everyone else is thinking and worrying about. If they don't like me for who I am inside and outside then that's ok. I am finally able to be comfortable in my own skin and my own body to know that no matter what, I will be happy with myself. Being who you are no matter what is the best you can do for yourself and the people around you that love and care about you.
